Joan’s was a master assemblage of specimen plants , flowering shrubs, perennials and annuals. The criteria for the plants in the gardens is that they would be beautiful yet often have a biblical reference or connection to Catholicism.
Joan planted the vast majority of her plants herself. We are always happy to help someone who wants to do it themselves be successful. Truth be known Blue River Nursery was founded on supplying do it yourselfers with plants to make their yards beautiful without using a contractor to help them do that.
