Shojo is one of the best purple leaved cultivars as the color holds very well in summer and the autumn color is a good crimson. There is an undertone of green as the foliage matures, but this is overshadowed by the solid bright orange-red. The leaves are distinctively 7 lobed, the outer lobes being much smaller.
