Miscanthus Sinensis 'Goldbar' is the most heavily banded form of the Zebra and Porcuipine grasses that we have seen. The literature says this plant does 30-36 inches . We have only seen 18 inches so far. Whatever it does height wise the yellow horizontal bands on the pointy green blades are totally outstanding. Plant also supposedly gets the cool burgundy/pink tassels that Miscanthus varieties are known for in the fall. The time is now to get into this plant before its everywhere in 10 years. This has the qualities that make a classic plant. Looks great with After Midnight Echinacea and Lubeca Salvia or anything else with a lavender or purple flower to contrast with that striking banding.
