A densely tufted evergreen grass native to the Rocky Slopes and wastelands of Europe, Western Asia, and North America. Foliage is very attractive blue-green. Individual blades of grass are very narrow and about ¼” wide. Body of plant is similar to fountain grass. The center is more vertical in midsummer when stiff upright stems bear glistening straw colored purple marked tassels.
