We have fallen in and out of love with a lot of plants over the years. This was the love at first site till death do us part. ‘Pendula’ is so predictable its usefulness in the garden is endless. This tree is especially perfect for that spot 5’ off the corner of the house that every one wants to plant a species Blue Spruce off of. Where the blue spruce and the corner will fight with one another the ‘Pendula’ will keep to itself and let the house breathe. About the time you would cut the Blue Spruce down the ‘Pendula will be coming into its own and will be giving all your short sited neighbors a bad case of garden envy. Plant has gray green needles an inch long. Leader shoots straight up and braches weep straight down with the last third of the branch retuning gracefully upwards with a nice arch. Great as a single specimen or as part of a larger group. Excellent as an architectural piece where four season evergreen interest is desired. Spruce your landscape up and plant a ‘Pendula’!
