Nitida Fountain Bamboo is a species of clumping bamboo that is native to China and Northeast Himalayas. The purple-green culms are 1/8-3/8” thick. Purple brown along the culms and white around the nodes, and the deciduous leaves are pale or purple brown. After the first year, the culms have purple branchlets with lance shaped dark green leaves.
