Nikko Maple is a small, rounded tree that is native to Japan and China. The leaves emerge bronze in the spring and then become medium green, trifoliate 2-4” leaflets in the summer. In autumn foliage turns red-burgundy to yellow with muted red overtones. The smooth bark is ash gray. A wonderful, slow-growing, small yard tree.
